Maj Gen UK Gurung shares children’s experiences [Hueiyen Lanpao]

Imphal,October 15: Sharing his vision for a prosperous Manipur, IGAR (S) Maj Gen UK Gurung, has observed that the building blocks for a prosperous Manipur should be laid by children who can transform the society for a better tomorrow.

He was speaking at the occasion of flagging in a National Integration tour at Mantripukri today. Children from Chandel district have undertaken the tour to Bangalore. It was organized by 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S).

Welcoming back the children, Maj Gen Gurung encouraged them to make good use of the knowledge and experience gained from the tour in their education.

Children also shared their experiences from the tour and thanked the Assam Rifles for giving them such an opportunity. It is said that they have visited Bannergetta Wildlife Sanctuary, Mysore Palace, factory of BEML manufacturing heavy equipment and an International school during the 10-day tour to Bangalore. They also meet Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid and played a football match with a team from the Para-Regiment Training Centre.
