Trio penalised for throwing dirt, filth and rubbles at a public place [The Sangai Express]

 IMPHAL, Oct 19: Three persons were penalised by Judicial Magistrate 1st Class (JM1C) Imphal East for throwing dirt, filth and rubbles at a public place in New Checkon area today.

It may be mentioned that the Imphal East district police have been putting in effort to keep the district clean in association with youth clubs, womenfolk and NGOs.

Hijam Iboyaima Singh (28) of New Checkon, Koko Nula (24) Maring Lane and Krishna Yadav (30) of New Checkon were booked under 34 (5) of Police Act by Porompat Officer-in-Charge on being rounded up by local meira paibees and police personnel deployed at New Checkon.

They were produced before JM1C Imphal East today and penalised with Rs 200 each.

Action would be taken against those locals who throw garbage on roadside and other unauthorised areas in order to make the district clean and green, said a press release issued by Imphal East SP.
